Today catering to an influx of travellers from around the world most airports are geared to welcome the weary traveller with all the leisure amenities and comforts of a home.

1. Singapore-Changi Airport

Winner for the fourth time Changi Airport served over 50 million passengers in 2012. Changi was awarded the coveted title of Best Airport in Asia and Best Airport for Leisure Amenities.

6. Germany-Munich Airport

One of the best airports to enjoy a gourmet hot meal Munich Airport coming in 6th place also bagged awards for Best Airport in Central Europe and of course Best Airport Dining Experience.

7. Switzerland Zurich Airport

An airport that promises the safe transfer of your luggage. Coming in seventh Zurich Airport also won Best Airport Staff Service-Europe award. Guaranteeing you a convenient and comfortable airport experience.

8. Canada-Vancouver International Airport, British Columbia

Moving up from ninth place in 2012, Vancouver International Airport is the only delegate for North American airports in the listing for world’s best airports, naturally it was the winner of Best North American Airport.

Moving up five places to be ranked 9th best airport, Tokyo International Airport is a newcomer to the Skytrax Awards. Best Airport Terminal Cleanliness was another well-deserved award it took home.

10. England-London Heathrow Airport

If love the duty free experience then London Heathrow Airport is the place. Coming in 9th the airport bagged the Skytrax awards for Best Airport Shopping and Best Terminal.
